Ability

01 / Who

Character & silhouette

Rivet is the fixer: low, wide and always busy. While it waits, Rivet taps the tool arm and two mechanical brows twitch. When the ability fires, the tool extends and rivets run along the seam with a triple ratchet click.

02 / Ability

Seam

In plain words

When a rival breaks your rail, the gap stays dead until someone rides over it again. Seam stitches a recent break in your own rail back together for a few seconds, so pulses keep running while you decide what to do next.

  1. When to use it

Right after a rival breaks your route close to the receiver. Patch the gap at once instead of riding back to re-lay it — then ride over the seam with laying on to make it permanent.

  2. Limit

Only your own rail ends; never a bridge over a void; the seam can be cut.

From the 1.1 game data — may change.

  3. Counterplay

The seam is temporary and can be broken again. Break the rail so the gap is too long to stitch, or simply wait for the seam to fade.

Version 1.0 numbers — module Jumper

  • restores a break up to 4 m long
  • only breaks from the last 6 s
  • the restored stretch holds for 4 s
  • cooldown 12 s · reach 8 m
  • works after the 1 s break lock and costs 1 rail resource per metre

Numbers from version 1.0 as submitted on 6 October 2026. The plan keeps these rules for the hero; they may still change after playtests.

03 / In version 1.0 today

Already in the game — as a module

Version 1.0 has no Rivet. Rivet’s ability is the 1.0 module Jumper, which any courier can pick before a match. In 1.1 the module is planned to become this hero, with its rules unchanged.

Repair, not protection

Rivet and Bastion answer the same threat from opposite ends. Bastion keeps a segment from breaking; Rivet brings back one that has already broken. Neither can do the other’s job.

In 1.0 that is also how a broken stretch comes back — someone rides over the gap again. Jumper, the module Rivet is built on, patches a fresh break for a few seconds instead.
