01 / Who

Character & silhouette

Spool is a cheerful worker. The cable spool on its back idles round while it waits and spins up when it’s pleased. The ability spins the spool fast and leaves a yellow thread along the fresh rail, with a whirr.

A compact, chamfered yellow body with a big cable spool on its back and wide skates. The concept draws a yellow A-frame chassis carrying a brass-rimmed spool of dark cable. The concept shows walking legs; in the game every courier rides magnetic skates.

02 / Ability

Reserve

In plain words

Every metre of rail costs resource. For a short window Spool pays less for each metre, which helps when a long route has to go down fast.

  1. When to use it

When the route is long and the reserve is short — for example in a sector that makes you go around a gap instead of across it.

  2. Limit

It neither extends rails nor raises the length limit.

From the 1.1 game data — may change.

  3. What it won’t do

Cheaper is not longer: the limits on how much rail you can keep stay exactly where they are.

No numbers yet

This ability is still being reworked, so we publish the idea only — no durations, ranges or cooldowns. Details may change.

03 / Where it fits

Built for the solo expedition

In the planned expedition, sectors are built from hand-made layouts with gaps, terraces and loops, and the resource is meant to run short. Spool is the courier for the long way round.

Only where resource is tight

Spool matters only when rail resource is scarce. The expedition is designed to be tighter on resource than team matches, so that is where Spool is planned to live.
